Keiss Church is a classic Thomas Telford Parliamentary Church and dates from 1827, with later alterations and refurbishment. The church is situated in the centre of the village, and from the front door there are stunning views over Sinclair Bay towards Wick, which is eight miles away to the south.
The parish of Keiss was formed in 1833 out of parts of parishes of Wick and Canisbay, and the catchment area extends from Auckengill to Wester to the south of the village, and includes Lyth to the west.
The weekly Sunday service takes place at 10.15 a.m. with Communion being held twice yearly. There is a regular organist. Tea is normally served after the morning service.
Access to the church from the gate is via a series of broad steps up to the main door. Limited on-street parking is available local to the church.
Sound reinforcement and induction loop are not available.
