Annual Gathering of North Highland Guilds Together

Yesterday, Liz Buchan of Pentland Parish Guild, accompanied by husband Neil, attended the Annual Gathering of North Highland Guilds Together in Lochcarron Church, Wester Ross. Throughout their travel to, from and during their visit they were blessed by stunning weather which showed off Lochcarron and the North Highlands to best advantage. Most of the Guilds within North Highland were represented, and in attandance were National Convenor Kay Coull, and General Secretary Karen Gillon.
Attendees were welcomed by local minister Rev Fred Vincent before a superb light buffet lunch was served. Proceedings were led by Claire Munday and Rosemarie Gates of Applecross, Lochcarron and Torridon Parish Guild, who ably delivered an enjoyable and thoughtful programme of praise items, fellowship and 'conversations'. There were plenty of opportunities to network and interact with acquaintances old and new.
Next year's Annual Gathering will be hosted by the Guild in Alness.
