Meeting of North Highland Guilds

On Thursday 11th September, Liz and Neil Buchan represented Pentland Parish at the Meeting of North Highland Guilds held in Strathcarron Church of Scotland, Wester Ross. Special guests attending were the National Moderator of the Church of Scotland, the Rt. Rev. Rosie Frew, and the Rev Janet MacKellar, Moderator of Cleir Eilean i Presbytery. The theme for the event was “Who do we think we are?” and provided a unique opportunity for the National Moderator to meet Guild members from the Highlands and hear about what it means to be a Guild member in rural areas.
After a delicious light lunch prepared and served by the Lochcarron Guild, the highlight of the day was a presentation by Rt Rev Rosie Frew and Rev Janet MacKellar who shared how their journey of faith has brought them to where they are today.
